D-Day and Parnall Bombing Commemorations

Jacksons Social Club

10am-1pm

For the first time in 83 years, Yate Heritage Centre and partners will come together to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of D-Day, and 83 years since the bombing of the Parnall Aircraft site in Yate during World War II, with our newest exhibition focusing on the attacks on the factory on Station Road, Yate (now the Whirlpool factory).

Alongside the new exhibition, visitors can head underground inside an original First Aid Post, for a tour featuring information about the life saving effort in the bunker, with original artefacts used at First Aid Posts during World War II.

Public tours are free of charge, bookable exclusively via Ticketsource.co.uk. Visitors are welcome to view the First Aid Post exhibition at the locally famous Jackson Club within the Whirlpool Factory site. No booking is required to view the exhibition and admission is also free of charge.
